Advantages: Good for little ones to burn off energy

Disadvantages: not the biggest main frame

I have taken my son when he was 18 months old to lanky Bills and it is one of the best soft play centres in the area.

It is in Langley mill near Heanor at the back of the industrial estate. The car park is quite poky but it is monitored by CCTV.

The centre itself is not the biggest one I have visited but is certainly the best for toddlers

Socks need to be worn at all times

The toddler area has low cushioned activities with low level toys to play with. There is smaller version of the large climbing frame which is ideal. I was able to sit at the top of the frame while my son circled round climbing up and then sliding down again.

The main frame is very similar to most other soft play areas. It has climbing and Slide and some activities to occupy the bigger children.

The one thing this centre has that I haven't seen anywhere else is a disco room .which has lights and disco balls but the music is played at a reasonable level for children. As the room is slightly darkened my son was a little scared when he first went in and ran out but due to his desire to be with older children followed them in and loved it.

Like most soft play you can't bring your own food in but do provide both cooked and snack foods. I haven't tried the food so can't comment.

They run special event such as parents and toddlers which is cheaper than normal sessions

They also have adult day on Wednesday and a free drink is included with entrance. The only difference is that they have sales there such as make up or books.

My only negative is that there is an upstairs area for parties which had a stair gate at the top of the stairs but non at the bottom so it was like another activity.

I think for the younger child this is definitely is one of the best in the area.
Great for a wet weather day or to get your little ones to burn off some energy

Summary: Great place to take the kids when looking for an indoor activity
