Advantages: shops, market

Disadvantages: It's in manchester so might not live near there

I have been shopping in Manchester quite a few times now, and the one place i do go to shop is manchester's arndale centre.

It is situated in the centre of manchester. The centre has 2 levels with plenty of shops to go to. It's definitely worth spending a whole day there.

You can get to the arndale centre by bus, car or taxi, so there are plenty of ways to get there.

There are all kinds of shops here. There is something for everyone. There are clothes shops, restaurants, jewellery shops and more. Here are some of the shops that are there:-
Topshop and Topman
HMV
Dorothy Perkins
Burtons
New Look
Gadget Shop
Mcdonalds
and many many more!

There is also an indoor market too, which sells clothes, food, jewellery and more. This market sells cheaper items than the arndale centre itself though. To get to the indoor market, you just go in the arndale center and it is in there.

The arndale centre is a large place and takes quite while to get round it and look in all the shops. It's best to spend the whole day there really.

There are plenty of places to have something to eat too like mcdonalds, burger bar, gregs and more.

If you are looking for a particular shop you can look on the maps, which show you where everything is in the arndale centre. This is very useful, especially if you have never been there before.

The toilets are kept clean and tidy as there are always cleaners in there. There are always cleaners cleaning the arndale centre too, so its always kept nice and clean.

I'd definitely recommend anyone who loves shopping to come here as all the shops are under one roof and its a good day out for people who love shopping.

Worked on the architectural model of this when it was redone after the bombing. Also did the Trafford Centre but have never been to either!

Good op but you forgot to mention that it's probably the most hideous building in the world (from the outside);)

Colli ngwood21, the city centre has changed loads since the bomb, mostly for the better. But unfortunately the Arndale still looks like the world's largest public toilet.

Sounds pretty much much of a muchness as far as shopping centres are concerned.
