The cottage was spotlessly clean and I was really really impressed with this. I absolutely hate going anywhere where it is a bit grubby and I could not fault the cleanliness of this place at all, it was absolutely gleaming.
As the cottage is an old farming cottage, the facilities are not modern, however we don't mind this as we visit for the view and location rather than the facilities.

We stayed here last month. We have stayed here numerous times before because we visited the Lake District every year when I was a child and we always returned to these cottages. Where are the cottages? -------------------------------- The cottages are located on a working farm (Rannerdale Farm) right on Crummock Water. They are about 2 miles away from Buttermere village.
