Advantages: Great Music, Brilliant atmosphere
Disadvantages: Rotten Loos, Muddy fields
3 solid days of excellent music, brilliant atmosphere, and a great crowd of people versus the not so inviting public loos, muddy fields and infamous mosh-pits! My musical highlights of the weekend were: Greenday, Feeder, Papa Roach, and Marilyn Manson, in addition to these some other good bands included Eminem, Ash, Manic Strret preachers, Super Grass, Fun Loving Criminals, Travis, OPM, Alien Ant Farm. Sound quality was great, good lighting - I really enjoyed myself. If not watching bands there were a wide range of tents to suit different musical tastes - there was the main stage, radio1 stage, concrete-jungle, dance tent, carling stage and a comedy stage plus about a hundred beer tents, basically there was something for everyone. Reading cost me £86 for the weekend, I took a tent, sleeping bag,my brother beer and food, considering the entertainment programme I thought it was real value for money and intend to go again next year.Might have a go at the Bungy jumping next time! True, there were a few bad points but to be expected with 50,000 people in one site over the weekend, the worst being the public toilets which were beyond words and the muddy fields made getting about a bit hazardous and as always at theis type of venue hot dogs and burgers were astronomicly priced - £3.50 for a jacket potato and £3 for a burger! I left Reading Festival in a great mood and heavy bag, it was a great experience which I would recommend to everyone.
