In July wherever you go you will start seeing advertisements for the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford, Gloucestershire. Shortened to RIAT. Looking at the advertisements I would not blame you if you thought this is just for people mad about planes and that anyway £27.95 is a lot of money to pay for one days entrance fee. Wrong. Yes I admit it is a lot of money for one days entrance fee. At the end of the day though you will definately say that you got your monies worth. Every year at RAF Fairford the Royal International Air Tattoo is held. Well that is not exactly true as last year because of all the rain it was cancelled. This was a huge disappointment and there was a lot of discussions on the line of why wasnt there a plan set out for if it does rain. This year they are going to choose visitors at random on the day to park on the base and make the fields more robust and have a trackway so if it rains no one will get stuck in the mud.
