I took my 11yr old son and his school friend alongwith my brother to this site for the Easter weekend. Whilst the Gold Caravan was a decent size the cleanliness was disgraceful. Despite a card being left by the cleaner we had to rewash every item of crockery and cutlery. every glass without exception had smudges, every plate and bowl stained marks and crumbs on. The shower only had one temperature - scolding! A shower should not burn your skin! on the 2nd night there was a power cut and on the 2nd morning we were without water. The onsite facilities were exceptionally limited with a kids arcade no bigger than a living room area. the take away did not bother to open ... Read the complete review

After reading some of the reports for this Park Resort , we were in two minds wether to bother going . However , we needn't have worried at all . We arrived around 6pm on a blustery September Friday and found our caravan central heating was on . The caravan was spotless . We would recommend this resort without any hesitation .

Myself, my partner and our little girl (16 months old) have just returned from a long weekend at Park Resorts, Sandy bay, Northumberland. We had a fantastic time, after reading numerous reviews online we were extremely worried - But had nothing to worry about!! We arrived around an hour earlier so let the reception know, they took our mobile number and advised us they would call if we could check in early. We used this time to have a look around. our first thoughts were that the park looked very nice, the main bar area was reasonably sized with nice furnishings, there was also a small stage and dance floor to the right, and the swimming pool could be seen ... We've just returned from a week at Sandy Bay. I booked a Gold Caravan for £695 for the week. Nice caravan, obviously privately owned as fairly well maintained, though we did run out of gas and had to wait about 2 hrs before anyone came to change it. We also reported to reception that the freezer door on the fridge freezer wasn't shutting properly and water was dripping on the kitchen floor. Despite assurances that they would send someone that day, no-one ever turned upLot of money for the resort Site also left a lot to be desired. Pleasant beach if you could get onto it - you either slivered down a grassy bank or stumbled over some rocks. OK if you're just a kid. ... Read the complete review

I have just recently returned from a family holiday at Park Resorts, Sandy Bay which is near Newcastle. This holiday was booked through the Sun newspaper's £9.50 per person holiday. Last year we did a similar holiday at a Haven site so I will compare the 2 so you have an idea of what Park Resorts is like. Booking in ------------- It was clearly stated on the paperwork that we received that you were not able to get into your accommodation until 4pm, however if you arrived early you could use the on site facilities. We arrived at 1pm and let them know that we were on site, I was asked for my mobile number and they informed me that if our caravan ... Read the complete review
