We've just returned from a week at Sandy Bay. I booked a Gold Caravan for £695 for the week. Nice caravan, obviously privately owned as fairly well maintained, though we did run out of gas and had to wait about 2 hrs before anyone came to change it. We also reported to reception that the freezer door on the fridge freezer wasn't shutting properly and water was dripping on the kitchen floor. Despite assurances that they would send someone that day, no-one ever turned upLot of money for the resort Site also left a lot to be desired. I have just recently returned from a family holiday at Park Resorts, Sandy Bay which is near Newcastle. This holiday was booked through the Sun newspaper's £9.50 per person holiday. Last year we did a similar holiday at a Haven site so I will compare the 2 so you have an idea of what Park Resorts is like. Booking in ------------- It was clearly stated on the paperwork that we received that you were not able to get into your accommodation until 4pm, however if you arrived early you could use the on site facilities.
