Owning a holiday lodge had always been a dream of ours, and we couldn't have bought one at a better park! Gatebeck is such a great, quiet and scenic park which is ideal for escaping from civilisation for a few days. We love the fact that the park is so close to the Lake District so if we fancy a day out while we're there we've not got far to go. We bought a holiday lodge at Gatebeck a couple of years ago because it was surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery we had ever seen. It's such a peaceful park and is great whenever we need a relaxing weekend (or longer) away from work. Being so close to lovely towns like Kendal and Endmoor means that we can look round the sights and shops that we don't have at home. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the park has plenty of facilities to keep us happy. There is also a little fishing spot just down the road that keeps me happy.
