We bought a holiday lodge at Gatebeck a couple of years ago because it was surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery we had ever seen.

It's such a peaceful park and is great whenever we need a relaxing weekend (or longer) away from work. Being so close to lovely towns like Kendal and Endmoor means that we can look round the sights and shops that we don't have at home.

The staff are really friendly and helpful and the park has plenty of facilities to keep us happy. There is also a little fishing spot just down the road that keeps me happy.

The lodge we bought is a two bedroom model which makes it perfect for having friends and family come on holiday with us to go for country walks or to visit the nearby towns and villages. It feels so much bigger than when we first looked around it, and because it was already kitted out with top of the range appliances and furniture, we could just turn up and start our holiday.
