Talyllyn Lake is gorgeous, you have to approach it from Dolgoch end, if you have a sat nav get to Dolgoch and then put in Tywyn and it will take you down the valley and past Talyllyn Lake.

As you come through the valley high up you will look across and over the Lake, it is a stunning view there is an area on the right where you can park - just to jump out and take a picture.

We were very lucky while we were driving through this last time as we were treated to some low level flying from the RAF! they practise through the valleys and just as we were driving over the mountain they came roaring over our heads, we watched them twist and turn through the valley and over the lake - they even did it twice!! we got out at the parking area I mentioned above to see if they'd do it three times - there we were poised with camera but no they didn't!

As you turn towards the lake the moutains are beautiful, if you are there during the winter and get to see the snow on the mountains as we did last year it's even more stunning. At the far end of the lake is a hotel and there is also a restaurant - it has it's name in flashing red lights so you can't miss it!

We find the whole area beautifully stunning, there is literally nothing to do but go on adventures and explore and see what you can see. It's a must see place.
