Trunki Travel Chums Wash Bag
Advantages: Nice size, funky design, pouch included for airports
Disadvantages: Expensive RRP
My daughter goes to stay with her nan and grandad when they come down to visit from up country, I used to just put her little toiletries into a food bag until I came across this Trunki wash bag.
The wash bag is quite small, but for child size toiletries it isn't a problem for us. It is roughly 12cm high, 22cm long and 8cm wide. There are two different colours available, the blue variety as shown in the picture, or the pink variety that my daughter has.
Inside the wash bag is a clear waterproof pouch with the Trunki logo in one corner. Although we haven't flown with this, it is perfect to put those liquids in at the airport. I tend to keep my daughters toothbrush in this part. Also inside the wash bag is an integrated circular mesh pocket. Its about 5cm wide so quite sizable, we haven't found a use for this yet but I guess it would be an ideal size for a bar of soap. There is a plastic hook featured inside the wash bag too.
The design of the Trunki wash bag is as cute as Trunki's other products, with the side resembling that of a side of a fish. The detailing is mainly in purple, with a purple eye on each side of the bag and purple scales. Trunki have also stitched on a green semi circle which looks like the fish fin. The soft material of the wash bag means it is nice for children to hold, but at the same time it can easily be wiped if something got spilt and is quick to dry again.
I'm not really sure what the hook inside the bag is meant to hook onto. As it is located inside, the zip would have to be open for it to be able to clip onto anything, but then the contents could fall out, it baffles me!
My daughter loves her Trunki wash bag, so much so that we often have to pack it even if we aren't going anywhere! The size of the wash bag is just right for younger children, it can hold a shampoo bottle, tube of toothpaste, bottle of liquid soap, flannel and toothbrush if we arrange it in the right way, but there is little room to spare.
This wash bag is quite expensive with a RRP of £9.99. I bought mine from Amazon and paid around £4.50 if my memory serves me correctly. I don't think I would pay the RRP for the wash bag, although it does look appealing for children and have a nice size, there are other wash bags on the market loads cheaper.
Summary: Ideal for young children
