In April(2001) UCI opened a new multiplex 'thefilmworks' near the Millennium Dome on the Greenwich Peninsula. It is the first of its size and design in Europe and has cost £9 millions to build. The cylindrical multiplex has 14 screens and 2590 seats on four floors; currently is showing 23 films with late shows starting at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. I went to thefilmworks to see 'Bridget Jones's Diary' on a Sunday. It was showed on one of the four biggest screens in the cinema (screen 9, 10, 11 and 12).
