Advantages: The experience was great eventually.

Disadvantages: Don't expect any customer service.

I was thrilled when I was given a voucher for a virgin balloon flight for my 28th Birthday - I always wanted to go in a hot air balloon. Unfortunatley due to weather conditions my flight was cancelled many times - I eventually got my flight just after my 31st Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!! THREE YEARS LATER. I do understand that flights need to be cancelled but this was becoming a joke. After I eventually got my flight (Which was fantastic) I felt like I wanted to express my disappointment to Virgin. I wrote to them and reveiced a letter back basically saying if it wasn't for the weather being so bad and having to wait three years I would have enjoyed my experience even more - They were not wrong there!! I was appalled, they hardly expressed an appology. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me (as I don't always have £180.00 lying around for balloon tickets) and altough it was great when I eventually got on my flight, I just feel disappointed that I was let down so much and the feedback I got was so basic and blunt. Some customer service at Virgin wouldn't go amiss. I would recommend a balloon flight to anyone, but not with Virgin.
