Advantages: now i really do no that all the other negative comments were justified

Disadvantages: i lost £300.00

my daughter was told to arrive at 6 am for her balloon ride so she could meet pilot and help in setting up balloon unfortunately due to a delay on the roads they arrived 12 minutes late, only to see the balloon starting to take off. they have been told by virgin as far as they are concerned that was there flight and the fact that they missed it tough so basically thats £300.00 spent only to watch the balloon go up without my daughter in it.ABSOLUTE TOTAL RIP OFF AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SO RUDE RICHARD BRANSON ITS ABOUT TIME HE LOOKED INTO WHAT A RIP OFF THIS COMPANY IS. you miss an aeroplane it does not make your ticket void so who made up that rule over a balloon.
and 12 minutes late, that must have been the most rushed meet and greet the pilot and sling up the balloon in history.save your money do not line virgins pockets anymore is the only advise i can give you

Summary: avoid virgin like the plague

Dear Ally,

We are terribly sorry to learn that your daughter missed her flight due to bad traffic. At Virgin Balloon Flights we do allow you to re-validate a flight ticket in an event such as this, much as an airline would do as you suggest. Prior to their flight all passengers are issued with an “emergency” mobile number to telephone the pilot before take-off should they encounter a problem with checking in at the required time. The pilot will do their very best to hold the flight for a reasonable amount of time after check-in, however depending on conditions, this may not be possible. The usual time between closure of check-in and take-off is around 40 minutes, however under certain circumstances this may be less and it is very important that passengers arrive on time in order to receive their safety briefing before taking off.

Please do call our customer service team on 0871 663 0016 so we can re-validate your daughter’s ticket and she may then enjoy her ballooning experience.

Ki nd Regards
