My Wife and 2 Children bought me a flight for my 60th birthday as it was something that I had always wanted to do (and never got round to). After 3 years, and 20 failed attempts, the 21st time that I booked arrived and, after telephoning the booking line, I had confirmation that the flight was a goer. What can I say!? It was so very much worth the wait. From start to finish, it was an amazing experience.

If you are thinking of booking a flight, I would thoroughly recommend it. For those of you who would not want to wait as long as I have, I would recommend that you also purchase the weather insurance as, should you book so many times in a certain period and the flights keep getting cancelled, you do have the option of getting your money back; this is something that I didn't have and, whilst I would have quite happily had my money back if I had the opportunity to at the time, I'm really glad that I didn't.

I got to fly over the village where I grew up, which made the flight all the more special.

A truly memorable and enjoyable experience.
