“ Warren Parc / Penegoes / Machynlleth / Powys / Wales / SY20 8NN „
When I was seven years old my parents decided to buy a static caravan in Wales because they love it in Wales. They stumbled upon Warren Parc and bought one there and that started fourteen years of joy at this wonderful caravan parc in mid-Wales. I am here today to share what I thought of Warren parc during my fourteen years there and why I would recommend it to people who want to buy a caravan and also just to holiday in Wales.
First the address:
Warren Parc is in mid-Wales which is a great location and is situated a couple of miles out of Machynlleth which is such a charming town which boasts good shops, nice foods and a wonderful market every Wednesday. It is situated right in the heart of the countryside with walks everywhere and is absolutely stunning scenery. There is the beach of Aberdyfi near by which is gorgeous in the summer as it is very busy with nice beach-side shops and once again some great scenery. Also Aberystwyth for shoppers is just 18 miles away which is ideal.
Now the actual parc is easy to get to as it is signposted from places such as Welshpool and Shrewsbury so drivers should be able to find their way quite easily. Machynlleth has a train station so you can get there by train and then get a taxi the short two miles drive to the caravan parc.
So Warren parc has some beautiful static caravans which are of various sizes and trust me have more room than you may think. We had a three bedroom one and quite happily slept about ten people there at times with plenty of room. They have nice kitchens and bathrooms and the seating area in them was very spacious which was great.
The caravans have various prices and I am not sure what they would be now so you would have to phone the parc to find out. They also now have some chalets there which were not there when we were so I can't tell you much about them. I do know that you don't have to buy a holiday home there and you can just rent for a holiday but once again you would have to phone up for prices.
Ok now the parc is quite big with plenty of room there for all and the people were always really friendly. The owners are great and live on site so you can always get help or advice if you ever need it which is nice. When you are there you do see quite a few people around and you get to know people and become friends which is what I loved.
There is a car park on the site and people also park by their caravans at times and there is plenty of room. Now for everybody there are a few things on site. There is a small park which is lovely for children and adults alike with swings and things for them to do. There is also now a tennis court which was not there when I was but I see it when I pass there and it des look very nice. There is also a room which contains a TV and pool table which I used to spend a lot of time there.
Other facilities on site include toilets and showers which are by the pool room and also there is an outdoor pool which is great and although cold when you first get in, it soon warms up. What I am trying to say is that there is quite a lot to do just on the site and that doesn't even include nearby attractions such as brass rubbing in Machynlleth and the beach at Aberdyfi.
When my family were on the site we had a great time and stayed there for a good amount of years. We made life long friends who I still see a few people quite a bit and it has given me some very happy memories throughout the years. It is a fantastic place and the owners are fabulous and friendly. They were always there for us and helped us all of the time.
I would recommend this site to anybody thinking about getting a static caravan or taking a holiday in Wales as it is wonderful.
Thanks for reading.
