De Vere are a great chain of hotels that stretch all across the UK. They are very posh and all have beautiful surroundings.
We stayed the night in the De Vere hotel at Wychwood park near Crewe although there are 42 to choose from.
We got a fantastic deal on their website over the internet.
They had cheap deals on on different nights of the week and we managed to get a room for £29.00. I thought what a great deal but bear in mind they usually cost beween £100 and £170 depending on what you want.We just wanted a little break away from home and it was well worth it.
Wychwood park is surrounded by a 18 hole golf course and we noticed that a lot of golfers stayed the night after a tiring game of golf on the course.
The rooms were very comfortable and spacious clean and tidy. It had a TV in our room and all the usual things you'd expect like drink facilities ie kettle, coffee, tea, sugar cups and spoons etc.
The bathroom had fresh towels for you with plenty of toilet paper, shower gel's and soap etc.
It was easy to find our room as floors were numbered with plenty of signs up for you to follow to your room and other facities the hotel had to offer.
At reception you leave your details ie credit card details if you require room service along with your vehicle registration plate number so the staff know that particular vehicle belongs to a customer spending the night. There is ample space for you to leave your vehicle and plenty of security so you don't have to worry about leaving it.
I can't complain about the staff they were all great and very helpful and polite and if you required any assistance they gladly helped us out. For example I ordered drinks at the bar and instead of waiting the guy insisted he bring them to us so I could sit back down and relax.
They have plenty of great offers on if you book over the internet and I always look at it before booking to take advantage of their great deals.
There is plenty of leisure facilities that kept us occupied like the Mini-gym, golf - 18 hole championship course, driving range, putting green and a golf shop. I went on the driving range with a some balls and just hit them for an hour or so.
They also have function rooms thee if you have a special occassion like a wedding, birthday party.
They also have on site a internet cafe and drink machines with free flowing cappuccinos, lattes and green tea.
There is plenty of choice of top brand drinks available with a wide range of soft drinks, liquors, beers and also cocktails if you wanted one.
They also had a choice of bar snacks and light meals at the bar if you felt peckish. We went down the expensive route and had a three course meal in the restaurant but they only had a set menu to choose from. It was expensive but who cares if your staying in a hotel of that quality you expect to pay over the odds for a nice romantic meal and we wanted to splash out for a change.
All in all we had a fantastic night and we will definitely go for another night there if I manage to grab a great deal like last time.
