	ELC Baby Activity Pool ... spotted this pool half price in Mothercare in the middle of winter so bought it for my son. With the weather and my aversion to being outdoors he has only used it as a paddling pool once, but has used it a few time with a bag or playballs I bought separately. The different sections of the pool take a bit of blowing up (we ve generally kept it inflated in the shed inbetween uses so it just needs topping up) and the sides are very sturdy to allow an active baby to clamber in and out safely. The pool comes with a sunshade that provides a little protection from the sun depending on the angle but a good suncream and hat are still essential when using outdoors. It also ... 	ELC Blue Table Sand Pit ... bought this toy in New Zealand just over 8 months ago so endured a hot summer then travelled round the world and had another (not so hot) summer here and still looks in great condition. It has two compartments which in theory can be separated for sand and water but in practice any child i have seen using it has mixed both (half the fun i guess). It comes with a cover which is invaluable (stops creepy crawlies coming in over night - a pet hate of mine when i was a child)! The lid also has a track on it so can be used to race cars/trains on. 	ELC Bubble Machine ... most children I ve met, our little girl is mesmerised by bubbles so when ELC had a special deal on their Bubble Machine recently - the toy and a big bottle of bubbles for £15 all in - we decided to treat her. The four C batteries adds a bit to the overall price. Our model is dark and pale pink, made of sturdy plastic. The bubble mixture is added to a bowl within the bottom of the machine and the bubbles blow out, by way of a small fan, through an opening in the front. With new batteries it works well, lots of bubbles are produced at a fast rate and the children toddle around trying to catch them. We ve been apprehensive about using ours indoors as we ve hear...
