Advantages: Cheap, lots of fun, comfortable to use.
Disadvantages: Legs are uneven making it less safe and also moves around as well as being noisy.
I bought this trampoline for my local Argos using the reserve and collect service. It cost just £15 which I feel is great value. It comes flat packed so is easy for transportation but this of course means that you have to assemble the product yourself. When building this up the poles are easy enough to put together however it is not very easy to get it evenly balanced on the ground which is the biggest bugbear of mine. Secondly when you have to attach the elastic it is extremely difficult to get it even so that there are no large gaps to ensure the child doesn't fall through. These problems with building meant that when assembled there was a problem with the use of the trampoline. Although after hours of fiddling with it I managed to ensure the elastic was even the trampoline did not stand equally on the 4 legs meaning when my 3 year old jumps on it there is unevenness meaning an increased risk of injury which obviously I don't want.
When assembled the trampoline is not sturdy but as I would be keeping a close eye I allowed my son to use it, the handle bar meant that he had something to hold onto whilst jumping, with the padding on the bars it means he can jump in comfort whilst also maintaining a secure grip with the grooves on the soft padding. The stoppers on the legs of the trampoline ensured that the trampoline stayed put however with the legs being uneven it did move around and did not stay positioned in the one area. It also means that it is exceptionally noisy when being jumped on so definitely not a toy for using indoors.
I have found this toy to be very durable, there has been no rusting on the bars or sagging of the elastic which for the price is really good value I feel. I have stored this trampoline in the winter months in an outdoor shed, it really just protects against the wind and rain as there is still plenty gaps to let cold in so it is by no means a space that removes all exposure to the elements.
My son has had a lot of enjoyment out of this trampoline but I would have been much happier if there was some way that the legs were all even and therefore less risk of injury. My son's trampoline is not the only one I have seen with the legs uneven, many places I have come across with this particular brand that has the same problem so it seems as if it is an all round problem and for that I have to remove 2 stars. It is a good buy but I would rather spend a bit extra on getting something that is 100% safe and not as noisy!
Summary: Not the best purchase I have ever made.
