Advantages: good for sensory use
Disadvantages: none
POP UP BALL TENT We have one at work like this its great. I expect I might treat my grandson to one when he is a little older recommended for 2 years upwards. The tent we use is the one in the picture here The tent is easy to put up I can manage it on my own in a couple of minutes. It is made of a plastic fabric and is shower proof washable, has several doors that can be opened I work with disabled children a lot of whom are in wheelchairs. We do a lot of sensory work with them and using this ball tent is good for then we hoist the children Out of their chairs and lay them in the tent on the balls this makes them aware of their bodies and any little movement they make moves the balls around I find the children find it quite a restful stress free time We play with them rolling balls over them and get lots of smiles. This tent can be used with out the balls as a camp inside or outside on the lawn or patio on a summer?s day. A good place to hide and play in lots of scope for imaginative play. It is not suitable for real camping out just for play I can not find this one in my argos catalogue but there are similar tents/playhouses ranging from £19.00 to£36.00p there is oneor two with clear wall windows to look in so you can see what your child is up to without intruding too much. A bag of balls to fill it are £6. 99 for 100. I think this is a good toy for a young child. Thanks for reading Mary
