Advantages: So much fun.

Disadvantages: Messy.

One of my sons birthdays are in April and the year before last on his 3rd birthday he got a sand and water table from his nanna.
I have had these tables in the past for my elder two boys and they always had lot's of enjoyment out of them, so I knew that this would get plenty of use.

In my previous house we had a large front garden so this was kept there and whenever the weather was nice I would get this ready for my son to play with.

The table we have is plastic, the legs are orange, the actual sand/water bit is lime green and it comes with a handy blue lid. It is square(ish) in shape although the bits where the sand and water go are 2 half circles.

The table is now in the back garden and I will often move it around depending on where my son wants it, sometimes he has it down on the patio, other times he wants it on the grass, either way when empty it is really easy to move.

I have found that one bag of play sand is plenty enough to fill this sand table and at times we have used sand in both sides.... I much prefer this!

When used with sand and water you can expect a big gloopy mix of wet sand and sandy water!

This table came with a few accessories like fish and crab shaped molds and a small bucket, spade and sieve.

All of my boys have played with this at some point, my eldest likes to make sand pies to throw around! Nice!

It is still in great condition and shows no signs of wear and tear even after being outside in all weathers for 2 years. The colours are still nice and bright and haven't faded at all.
The lid however isn't much use, it does keep out any bugs etc. but is useless for keeping out rain water. I now store this on it's side so it doesn't fill up with the rain!

I think my mum paid around £25 for this and in my opinion it is worth this and more. It has a nice height so my son isn't stooped over and he loves it.

Summary: A lovely little table.
