Beware! The 'clutch doesn't work. It says it locks to stop the pedals turning, but it doesn't lock them at all. The pedals still turn which can cause a toddler to get his/her feet stuck in between the footrests and the moving pedals - VERY DANGEROUS! I do not recommend this product. We returned two of them back to Argos and eventually accepted a refund as it seemed that all the trikes had the same problem. It wasn't just a one off.

I think the design must have been improved since earlier reviews as the parent handle seems very secure to me as long as it is locked into place properly. I have bought the blue one from argos, It seems to have been improved on since previous reviews as when using it from 10 months there are in fact two lots of safety straps the one around the waist and between the legs plus padded shouldier straps which also go to a buckle between the legs.
