My husband bought this ball pit a few months ago for our little girls. We wanted something that they could enjoy for a long time and thought a ball pit would be excellent.
We searched through the Argos catalogue and initially thought we would buy a paddling pool and fill it with balls. This way it could be used as a pool in the garden also; two activities in one. However we came across this ball pit and quickly changed our minds.
The ball pit is shaped like a hexagon. It has 2 openings to get in and out. There is also a hole on top. It is very easy and quick to put together. All you have to do is put together poles in each corner. I find the poles a bit flimsy, however, as long as the children are not playing rough its is fine!
My oldest munchkin, who is 15 months, loves this. We bought 200 balls from Asda, but too be honest she needs more balls, probably another 200 balls. She can still roll around in 200 balls and she loves it when you drop the balls through the hole above when she is sat below. For some reason she thinks that it is hilarious. She loves it when you lower her into the ball pit through the hole on top.
I think this ball pit is great because I fit in it and can play too! Also when my youngest, who is 4 months, is older they can play together. I find that I can leave the munchkin in the ball pit while I do household chores and she will be thoroughly entertained for some time.
The only weaknesses I can find are the flimsy poles and the entrances to the ball pit. I think that the hole for the entrances should be a bit higher to stop the balls falling out. I have balls all over my house!!!
