Looking for a cheap small paddling pool last summer for my then two year old girls was a mini minefield was so many to choose from. I wanted one that was small and shallow but didn't cost a lot. I discover the chad valley junior pool on ebay.co.uk from a shop that was selling ex argos stock. Chad valley junior pool cost £3.99 with free postage and packing so i decided to purchase it as just what i was looking for. The pool is still available to buy online from woolworths although the price does jump up to £7.99. The chad valley junior pool comes in a plastic clear wrapper all folded up with a small paper instructions. The instructions were very basic telling how too blow up the pool and giving safety warnings. Chad valley junior pool is made from pvc plastic, light blue in colour and see through. There are four rings around the sides with pretty sea creature like a crab, fish, sea ray and some green sea weed scattered around the walls of the paddling pool. The decorated sides are colourful and a nice touch. When i was ready use the paddling pool i lay it flat on the grass and loosened the rings on the walls ready to blow up. To blow the pool up i used a foot pump from an airbed i had this was easier for me as it could take a while to do by mouth even though it is fairly small. There is only one plastic nuzzle on the first ring of the wall this is one of those nuzzles with a safety stopper on it meaning when you stop blowing the air doesn't come back out unless you squeeze the nuzzle. My foot pump fitted the nuzzle perfectly so it only took around five minutes for all of the rings to inflate and turn solid. I was surprised how shallow the pool was for having four rings, the rings are quiet thin anyway so it is around 20 inches deep from the to although i have never filled it to the top. I choose the fill the pool with buckets of water as i wanted the paddling pool to have warm water in it so it was a nice temperature for the girls so took around 8 bucket full's of water this took the most time. When the girls got to play in the pool there was enough water to cover their legs when sitting this was plenty for them as it is only a small splash pool. Their was enough room for both girls to play in with some toys also. My girls had great fun through out the summer months splashing around. The pool does state for three years up even though my girls were only two at the time i bought the pool i feel it is a great first paddling pool being nice and shallow easy for the girls to get in and out etc. However i never left them unattended and still wouldn't. I have stored the chad valley junior pool over the winter up in the attic and only on friday did we get it down and blown up again as it was super warm on friday i filled it up for the girls to put their baby born swim dolls in and the pool was still like new. I did take care to store the paddling pool inside away from any frost that could have damaged it during winter so i am extremely happy that we can use the paddling pool for another year. I highly recommend the chad valley paddling pool , great value, hard wearing, shallow and pretty to look at too. 5 dooyoo stars from me.
