Chad Valley Playballs
Advantages: Fun, lightweight, different colours
Playing with a ball has become my little girls favourite thing to do and with this handy bag of balls she has 100 to choose from!
We initially bought this set last Christmas to go into a pop up ball pit we had bought for our little girl. The ball pit is great, it's round and big enough for an adult to sit with but only came with about 10 balls which in my opinion was definitely not enough. There were some beanbags that came with it too but I think the whole point of a ball pit is to really get covered with all the balls and to be able to move about with them, so this is why we decided to buy a big pack of extra balls.
The balls came in a nice see through plastic zip up bag which has been great for storage of the balls. Usually we keep the ball pit up in my little girls room and just have the balls in there but we like to rotate her toys around so she plays with different things and doesn't get bored so when the ball pit has been down this bag is perfect.
The balls themselves are made of a lightweight plastic and have quite a thin shell to them so it makes it very easy for little hands to pick them up. This is a great benefit when you are throwing them because it doesn't hurt when you or your little one inevitably gets hit with them. The balls are the size of a tennis ball so easy for little hands to pick up too.
The balls are also a little bit squishy because of the consistency of the thin plastic so this makes them very easy to pick up. My little girls throwing and catching skills have in my opinion really improved and developed with these balls as we like to throw them back and forth and kick them as well and they do no harm in the house which is nice.
The balls are all different colours which is great as we get to learn our colours in a fun playful way. I like to make a game of it and always say to my little girl, "can you find me the yellow ball" or "throw me the pink ball" etc etc.
All in all, £10 for a bag of 100 is a really good investment for fun, learning toys!
