We live next to an aspiring young footballer, at thirteen years old he's already playing for the youth branch of one of our Midlands teams (Notts County I think, although don't quote me on that!) - Hollie is good friends with his little brother, and after going round to play a few weeks ago she came back in a huff that they have 'millions of footballs and I've only got five'. With three boys in our household, it's probably no surprise that we have a huge number of different balls, of varying sizes and designs, in our possession. This particular play ball, a Disney 'Cars' branded one, was the choice of my, then, three year old son last Summer. One of the items which my son received from one of his friends at his birthday party was a nine inch Cars ball. Initially my son was a little bit disappointed with the product telling me that he didn't like Cars but as the new Cars film has just been released I have noticed that he will play with this ball more often now. My son is cars mad so when we saw this ball for sale in our local Early Leaning Centre for £3, I had to buy it. We have had the ball now for over a year and a half and it is still going strong. As mentioned in previous reviews because of the size of this ball (approx 9 inches) it is great for playing catching games with little ones. We have never had to repump the ball up and it still contains a good amount of air. The only problem which has occured with the ball for us is that the pictures of Lightning McQueen have faded quite badly as we left it outside in the sunshine - our fault then - whoops!!! Disney Cars 9" Ball Our friend was having a clearout of their sons toys, and a few of them found their way to our house! One in particular was this little Disney Cars ball. My little one has only seen the film once, and was not taken by it, though she took to the fun design on the ball and did recognise it, so now it is part of the garden toy collection!
