      Fab party bag bubbles

For my daughters second birthday we spent the day together then the day after we had a few friends round to play. I didn't do party bags as such, but each of her friends took home a balloon and some bubbles, I couldn't let them go empty handed as they bought her presents. The bubble that I bought for this occasion was from ELC, they do a pack of six bubbles, perfect for the few friends that came round.

I had already bought bubbles from ELC before, so I knew they were of a good quality, and being from the Early Learning Centre you wouldn't expect anything less. They do three different types of bubbles, this pack of six, a medium sized bottle or a large bottle of bubbles. This pack of six small bottles currently costs £3 from ELC or Mothercare.

This pack contains six bottles that each contain 114ml of bubble solution. The bottles are a nice shape for small hands as they have a curved nature to them. They almost look like a figure of 8 with two spheres on top of one another. Around the neck of the bottle is a flower shaped wand holder. The wand attaches to the side of the bottle so it stops it getting sticky when it's not in use. The shape of the wand is quite basic with the simple circle which holds the bubble solution on one end, then the handle gets wider as it goes further down. Each bottle has a different colour bottle and lid, each of these colours are neutral so perfect for either boys or girls.

The solution itself is made well, nine times out of ten after submerging the wand and pulling it back out, it will make bubbles. When I try and make my own solution its either too soapy or too watery, but that's not a problem with these bubbles and the solution is just right. When I blow towards the wand, it creates lots of bubbles every time, and if my daughter isn't chasing them popping them all, they do last a long time. If I'm blowing them out in the garden and there is a gust, they will simply float away instead of popping. The solution is pretty much perfect.

The wand is quite easy to hold, although it's quite short as the bottle is only small, the way it gets wider towards the end is handy for my chunky fingers as I can hold on to the end with ease. With the variable width of the wand, it means children can hold onto it wherever it feels comfortable for them, my daughter is too young to do it herself so I can't really say how she finds the wand.

Bubbles are a perfect addition to any party bags at kids parties, at £3 for six bottles they work out at 50p for each bottle. I think this is quite good value for money, even though there are lots of cheaper bubbles around, the quality of these cannot be faulted and the solution is just perfect.
