ELC Bubble Wand
Advantages: Lots of large bubbles
I first bought one of these last summer after having read reviews on dooyoo saying how good they were. My girls really loved it and have finished it up this summer.
The bubble wand is really easy to open with the top just unscrewing allowing you to withdraw the long plastic wand. The tube is full of bubble mixture and so you need to hold it upright and depending on you child you may want to hold onto this yourself. I know my toddlers would just tip this up!
Although the dooyoo photo shows children blowing through these we've never used them in this way. It's much easier in my experience to just wave the wand back and forth, this creates lots of bubbles and my girls love chasing after them.
The recommended age for this product is 3 years + but my girls happily play with product supervised and they are 2. It's still a great product for babies as you can make the bubbles whilst they watch them and try and pop them with their little hands.
The mixture in this bubble wand is good quality and the bubbles which are large last a long time too. The amount of mixture in the tube lasted far longer than I was expecting it too as it doesn't seem much when looking at it. However we used this last summer and have finished it off this year. It may last less time in a child's hand though!
Availability and price
I bought mine at the Early Learning Centre online last year and paid about £2 from memory. This product may be seasonal as it isn't currently showing as available online.
Would I recommend?
Yes, this is a great product and we'll definitely be buying the girls one each next year. They make a nice change from having to hold a tiny wand and blow lots to get bubbles.
Summary: Lovely bubbles!
