For my son's birthday party last year I was desperate to try and find activities to entertain the kids. I came across this egg and spoon game in the early learning centre and thought that it looked like it might be a fun game I could organize for his friends with a prize for the winner. The set was cheap enough that it was worth my time buying it so that I could have a selection of games for him to choose from.

The set only cost £6 and consisted of four coloured plastic spoons and four plastic eggs that sit in the spoons.
The idea of the game is a simple one and all the kids have to do is line up with the eggs in the spoons and race to the finish line and the first one there with their egg still in the spoon wins.

I had thought my son might be a little old for the game but him and his friends loved playing it and the incentive of a prize at the end really spurned them on. The set is recommended for ages 3 and upwards and this is a good recommendation as littler hands might not be dexterous enough to actually run with the egg still in the spoon.

I thought that the spoons and the eggs were a great size and they fit perfectly together. Because they are plastic they are also really hard wearing.
The fun part about this set is that the eggs actually come apart and inside them is a little fried egg shaped bean bag so when a kid drops an egg is cracks to reveal the fried egg. The kids loved this part and thought it was hilarious.

For £6 I thought this was a fantastic little set which could give hours of fun. It is the sort of game that can be used throughout the year and also the whole family can get involved and play. My son and all his friends enjoyed it and we have played with the set as a family since then on a few occasions so they represent really good value and I would highly recommend them.
