WHAT ARE THEY?
Fun stilts for children. They are very basic upside down plastic pots with strings attached to them.
They are very simple and a lot of fun. The stilts are 5 1/2" high and are wide enough that children can balance on them without falling off. There is a raised spiral on the top of each stilt for grip and my daughters have never had their feet slip off what ever shoes they are wearing. The string is tied off under the stilts and is in a loop of about 25cm. When I bought mine there was a choice of red, blue or yellow and I bought yellow because that was my daughters favourite colour.
WHAT I THINK
This was an impulse buy but has been very popular and both of my daughters play with the stilts very regularly. They use them in the garden and inside but we have got laminate floor and the stilts are a bit slippy on that, they are best on carpet and the decked patio area. The bottom rims are quite wide but they still sink into the garden if it is not completely dry so I don't let my daughters play on the grass with them very often in case they bring the dirt in. They are easy to clean but the strings get very dirty.
5 1/2" doesn't sound very high but these can be used by children from 3 and at that age it's high up. Children will walk very straight legged on them but it is teaching them to do something new and that is a good thing when done through play. My 6 year old daughter plays on the stilts the most and they are good for her in size, she has to bend down to hold the strings comfortably but that helps her to balance so I won't put new longer strings on yet.
WHAT MY DAUGHTERS THINK
My daughters have both enjoyed playing with these stilts and I am very glad I bought them. My oldest daughter learned how to walk in them very quickly but my youngest was frightened to be so high up and it took her a lot longer. Now they can both run in them and walk very naturally.
These stilts were £5 and worth it.
5 Dooyoo Stars.
Summary: These stilts are a lot of fun and very good quality
