We bought this outdoor toy from the Early Learning Centre about a month or so ago, to use in the summer weather. Our daughter (now 22 months) absolutely loves it. She already has the ELC swing, both toys are in a very fetching purple and green colour scheme, which brightens our garden up considerably! Of course, as always, this product is one of those self-assemble toys, which always takes at least twice as long to build as the instructions state. This toy didn't disappoint on that front, it took two of us about 3 hours to assemble the thing! However, now I've built one, I could build a hundred (e-mail requests!) The problem being, that you have to build the slide upside-down and then turn it over the right way, near to completion. However, what we didn't realize is that this also means back-to-front, so when we turned the slide over, the steps were facing the wrong way! We then spent ages trying to knock the steps back down again and hammer them back on the right way around. Ah well, you live and learn! Finally, we also bought the attachment which goes onto the bottom of the slide, which basically is 9 quid for a bit of green plastic. After watching my daughter launch herself off the slide at a rapid rate and go zooming acroos this plastic bit at the bottom, I think that this is an essential part of the product and should be an integral part of the toy. Customers shouldn't be charged a further £9 for a bit of plastic! Also, it protects your lawn from being scuffed up by zooming children's shoes.
