I struggle to find presents to buy for my youngest daughter due to her sister only being a year and a half older she tends to have them all passed down and at such a young age they can not tell you what they would like.
At charismas I wanted to buy her something that she would be able to enjoy and what I class as a big present so when I was going through the sales catalogue for Littlewoods I noticed this push along pony. She was one and half at the time and was walking so I thought this would be a lovely present for her.
This is a pink pony that has 4 purple wheels that allow it to move along the floor. It has two green handles on the head so that the child is able to hold on and a little yellow basket on the front for the child to put toys into to play with. There is a felt like material for the tail and the mane which really sets it off. There is some detail on the toy such as the reins around its head and its eyes and cheeks either side there is also some swirl patterns on the side of the horse so that it doesn't look plain which I think makes it look pretty. This has a speaker and an on off button on the side. The cheek button makes the horse make a noise when the child wants it too.
This works by the child sitting on the toy and pushing it along with their feet. When my daughter had this she seemed very scared of it and wouldn't even sit on the pony but did enjoy pressing the button. After a few weeks she did sit on it if we helped her but could only push backwards. Now she is able to get on and off the horse any push it along without any assistance and very fast may I add. The button that has to be pressed to play the music and the noises is easy to press and took a few weeks for my daughter to realise where the button was.
This is quite pleasant to listen to. It plays 3 songs with a horse noise between each song. This doesn't have different volumes so it can get a little annoying after it has played a few times.
This is a lovely little toy that is suitable for children from the age of 1 year, it may take the child some time to get used to how it operates. It is lightweight so this makes it easy for the child to manoeuvre. It was good value for money due to it being in a sale it was reduced from £25 to £11 which was a steal for me. It made my daughters Christmas too. It has different textures which makes it interesting for the child to touch and I have only seen it on internet shopping sites to buy now unfortunately but it is a very good investment and good value for money.
