Glitter Bouncy Ball
Advantages: Cheap and effective.
After a particularly "unstressful" shopping trip with my children, I decided to reward their good behaviour with a little treat, with that said treat being subject of this review.
The product in question is - "Glitter bouncy ball".
The ball itself is around the size of a tennis ball, and made from completely clear rubber, making this a very bouncy ball.
Inside the ball there is clear liquid, not as thin as water, but thin enough to allow whatever colour glitter you have chosen to float around the ball, giving the illusion that the ball is actually that colour!
The ball can be used as you would any other ball, ideal for bouncing and throwing, being small enough to be caught by a younger child, though is quite solid feeling so not for a much younger child!
The ball is very bouncy, and after my children's initial reservations ( Mum, this will pop if we throw it!), have soon found they now have to be careful with how much force they use as it bounces everywhere!
The one effect of the glitter ball that we didn't see when first purchased was revealed to me recently after my children got bored of bouncing the ball, and my son kicked it towards me.
The glitter and water roll around inside the ball, giving it the illusion of perpetual movement, even swirling for a good minute after the ball had stopped, which made for a beautiful display, it certainly kept my children entertained for a good while after this discovery!
Price wise this was purchased at £1.00 or "2 for £1.50" in my local Asda (which they have in stock, in store as part of the pocket money range of toys), but is also available via www.amazon.co.uk for the slightly dearer price of £4.95, though they also have flashing one's too, I would imagine these are fantastic to look at!
These have been a well played with, and hard wearing toy, that have been left out in all weather without any deteriation of the rubber itself, and (with a quick wipe over), look as good as new.
They bounce well, are ideal for catching and rolling, and to be honest anything that encourages my child to go outside and away from the telly has to be a bonus, recommended!
Thanks for reading x
Summary: A fun bouncy ball.
