Halsall Baby Annabell Scooter
Advantages: Nicely coloured, sturdy, value for money
When I was younger, I wasn't really one for a bike as I had a scooter and went everywhere on this so for Laurens second birthday, my mum and dad decided to buy her a one.
Most scooters are quite big but we spotted this one in Argos and we were instantly attracted to the design and decided to give is a go.
My mum assembled this so I cannot really say how easy it was but she said it wasn't long to assemble at all (about 5 minutes) and very easy to follow instructions.
The scooter has a nice bright pink chassis, with a blue board to stand on and pale blue handle bars. The wheels are really chunky and smooth and a baby pink colour.
The scooter frame is made of steel and fully assembled it measures H59, W21, D61cm.
One of the great features of the product is that the handle bar can be extended. The lowest setting is 59cm and the highest is 64cm, although this is only a difference of 5cm, it means that as Lauren grows, we can adjust it and not have to buy a new one for a while.
On the handle bars, there is a lovely sheep which also doubles up as a bag, Lauren used to love packing this full of whatever she could find.
The baby Annabell logo is displayed on both the plate and the front of the frame.
*Price & Availability:*
The RRP is around £23, ours was purchased from Argos where it is still available. At the time, Argos had a promotion on the product (it was the end of September so I think they were selling off the outdoor toys) and managed to buy it for around £12.
The scooter is advertised as not suitable for under 3's, while I think at two, Lauren was a little too small, by the time she was around two and a half, she used to 'bomb' up and down my mums living room carpet. Having said that, I would not leave her on her own to play and I didn't let her outside on the path until she was a little bigger.
I think this offers excellent value for money; two and a half years later Lauren still uses it (although she is getting a little too big for it now however she is quite tall for her age).
Because this has three wheels, it is very sturdy and has never toppled over and even looked like it would!
All in all, it is very well made and definitely worth the money (even at full price) and I cannot find any fault with it.
The sheep bag is a great little accessory which most other scooters don't offer and Lauren really likes this.
5 out of 5 stars!
