Whilst browsing our local pound store last weekend my step son josh really did want to have this packet of water bombs so with him being so adamant he needed them, i let him have them after all they are only £1 and he is a good kid.
I also had fun with water bombs as a child but hated the filling of the balloons however the hgl water bombs come with a pump to help.
Hgl water bombs and pump can be bought online from amazon uk, ebay uk and most good pound stores.
The pack contains 200 different coloured water bomb balloons and a small pump.
Pack also contains instructions on the back of the cardboard with picture diagrams showing how to use the pump to fill the balloons. Their is a small sign at the bottom of the pack saying biodegradable no need to worry about the environment. The water bomb packet states for three years plus.
The pump is blue and red looks like, its a thick plastic syringe with a plastic cone shaped nuzzle on the end. It works the same as a syringe. All we did was fill a bucket of cold water, dip the nuzzle into the water pull back the pump handle as it sucks up the water. The balloon stretches over the nuzzle and push the handle back down filling the balloon with water ready to tie a knot at the end. I honestly did not expect the pump to work as well as it did.
What i did like about the pump is that each balloon was the same volume in water and perfect sized making it hard to over fill the balloon and it less mess in the house from tap filling. The pump made the whole process less time consuming and more fun.
We have only used about forty of the balloons and can say not one balloon popped or ripped during the water filling or when tying the knot. The balloons are thin and very stretchy, the rim at the top is quite thick making these water bombs better quality than the ones i remember as a child.
Its not fair i did not get to throw the bombs as it was only fair to let the children play with them but i did watch and all the children were laughing and having fun. The balloons burst easily when throwing them on the wall or ground. Josh was throwing and catching one in the air when it burst as he caught it getting him wet, giving me in stitches of laughter. Luckily we had a lovely warm weekend to play with the water bombs and plenty left for the next warm day. Well worth a £1, great quality, easy fill and fun fun fun.
