Lovely stylish and fun design- great for baby to play.

My daughter who is nearly 10 months old absolutely loves to play in water. She has been having swimming lessons since she was 4-5 moths old and is very water confident. She loves to swim, play in her paddling pool and the bath and absolutely hates getting out! We have been really enjoying the recent hot spell, and already have a baby a baby paddling pool at home for her and decided to buy her one for Nannie and Grandad's house, so that when we visit she can have a splash about if the weather is nice. Our paddling pool for our house has a shade over the top and we decided to buy another pool with this feature to keep Tilly-Mae in the shade and cool as she plays. I found the Intex Mushroom paddling pool on Amazon and it was on offer at the time for £12.99 although now the lowest price is £14.99. The pool itself is designed to look like a mushroom. The sunshade is the top of the mushroom and is red and white with yellow stalks and is joined to the blue pool base. The colours are lovely and bright and eye catching as indeed is the whole design. The base of the pool is blown up separately to the mushroom shade. There are then three mini mushrooms that fit into holes around the side of the pool and 3 toys which are attached by Velcro to the stalks. As there are a total of 6 toys, and the base of the pool and then the mushroom shade to blow up it does take some time and is a bit fiddly especially as some of the toys are small. I would says it took the best part of half an hour to blow up which is quite surprising for such a small pool. For this reason we keep it blown up and store in the garage just adding any extra air as needed. We find that it does not take very long to fill the pool. We only fill it to halfway though as rather than sit my daughter prefers to lay on her tummy or back and splash about. However even filling the pool to the maximum fill line should not take more than 5 minutes or so. The pool is the perfect size for a single baby or toddler to play in. However I would suggest if you have more than one child that you may want to consider a different pool as this is only big enough for one at a time as the dimensions are 102cm by 89cm with a depth of the pool of 13cm. Given the size I think next year we will need to invest in a larger paddling pool for our daughter as whilst at 10 months this is perfect I do feel that she will need more space next summer. However I do think it represents excellent value given the excellent quality of the item, the lovely design and the number of toys included. It really is a fun design. My daughter loves this pool and has hours of fun in it, splashing about and soaking mummy and daddy as well as her Nannie and Grandad! I would highly recommend this pool for babies.
