I recently reviewed my sons NERF n-strike deploy blaster and strongly recommended that if you are buying one then it is wise to purchase extra darts at the same time. Briefly let me explain that the NERF system stands for non-expanding recreational foam and this description is for the foam darts that the gun (or blaster as they are known) uses. As most blaster come with few darts and they are very easily lost ,it is a good idea to buy extra darts.
The NERF N -strike clip refill is designed to be used with all blasters in the N-strike range and fill not fit blasters from other ranges. Inside the box are 2 quick reload clips, 1 flip clip connection and 30 foam darts. Prices vary for this product, but Amazon currently has it on sale for £7.20; the cheapest I could find. The RRP for the clip refill is £13.99.
How does it work?
The clip system is designed to make loading your blaster quick and easy, allowing you to continue firing at your target without having to stop and reload. The two clips provided are basically containers that clip open to allow darts to be placed inside. Once you have filled the two containers they are fitted to your blaster using the clip connector. When all the darts have been used in one clip you can easily switch to the second and continue firing.
My children love playing with their NERF blaster and so far haven't sustained any real injuries! The clip refill system allows them to have more fun than would be possible without extra darts. They like being able to reload quickly so they can continue blasting their target (usually each other!) If you are thinking of getting a NERF n-strike blaster then I suggest you buy the clip refill at the same time!
