Poundland Bubble Gun
Advantages: Blows decent bubbles, easy to use
Disadvantages: Tray is quite shallow
I love Poundland, most of the time the toys and arts and crafts bits and pieces you can purchase from there are of a fantastic quality for the price paid so I take my daughter in there to spend her pocket money.
One of the toys we purchased recently was this bubble gun, she's got a huge obsession with bubbles so I knew it was going to be a hit (aslong as the quality was ok!) Being a Poundland product, it only costs £1.
The gun comes packaged inside a transparent plastic backed on a strip of cardboard. You can see exactly what you are getting. A normal sized bottle of bubbles, the bubble gun and a little tray. There were a few different colour options available to buy in my local store but my daughter, obviously, wanted the one with the pink gun! It had an orange tray and orange detailing on the gun itself. There is one hole on the end of the gun that acts as the bubble wand, behind this there is a fan and on there is a trigger type button on the main shaft of the gun.
To use the bubble gun you have to place some bubble mixture into the tray, The tray included is quite shallow so you can't put much on there before it starts spilling over the edge. The size of the tray is nice and you can fit the end of the gun in with room to spare so it's easy to fill the wand end of it with the mixture. Its worth noting that inside the bubble mixture pot you don't get another, separate bubble wand, it's simply a bottle of mixture. Once the gun has the mixture in the wand, just press the button and the fan does all of the work!
My three and a half year old daughter has no problems in using the gun herself, she can dip it into the mixture and press the button without any trouble at all. The whole contraption works well and the mixture is of a good quality too so lots of bubbles are made every time it's used and they don't pop instantly (like my homemade bubble mixture seems to do!). My daughter enjoys running around the garden shooting the bubbles wherever she goes. As she dips the gun into the mixture she does seem to waste quite a bit with it dripping everywhere and the tray needs filling up quite often as it's so shallow but that's the only downside of the bubble gun I can think of.
At only one pound, I definitely recommend this bubble gun from Poundland. It's well made, comes with everything you need including a bottle of bubble mixture. It creates lots of bubbles without any effort, the shallow tray is a bit of a shame but nothing too major.
Summary: Bubble gun!
