“ Manufacturer: Tesco / Type: Water Toys „
I'm not entirely sure what a character bubble gun is, but this is the results of my product request so I'm just going to have to assume that this is what our gun is really called! Anyway, it cost only £2 in Tesco last week with 50p off of the original selling price. The gun comes complete with a small but not tiny bottle of bubble mixture, and a little dip tray for dipping the end of the gun into. The end of the gun, while I think of it, is a lot sturdier when you get it out of the packet than you anticipate it's going to be for such a cheap toy. It's firmly moulded and thick enough to produce good quality bubbles every time. The gun works by inserting two AA Batteries into the battery compartment, and then holding down the trigger to shoot bubbles everywhere. Bubbles come out thick and fast, and you can fill the room with just one dip into the bubble mix! I was very impressed with this right from the word go, as was the grandson who loves his bubbles (don't all kids?). Our gun also has a seperate compartment for adding water to it, so that this can also be used as a water pistol. I say can be, because there's no way I'm letting a small child loose with a water pistol until it's a fair bit warmer out there. I've had a pull on the trigger though to ascertain that it works smoothly, and can't see any problems with it. The only problem with this gun is that for some reason, they've included neon pink on all of them. They vary the colours of the different parts of the gun with neon orange, green and pink. Looks great, but I think some boys, especially slightly older ones, will be put off by this. Yellow or purple would have been a much better choice to appeal to both sexes whilst still being bright. We've tried a lot of different bubble makers and machines over the years, but surprisingly this turns out to be both the best quality as well as the cheapest. It takes a tiny smidge of bubble mixture and fills the entire room with bubbles in a matter of seconds. It's also very easy to use for even very young children of two or three years of age.
