“ Brand: Trademark / Style: Kids Backpack „
My youngest son loves Peppa pig and I find there are not many toys from the range aimed at boys they tend to be pink and girly so when my son decided he would steal his older siblings backpack I was pleased when I searched Amazon and found they had a George pig one available. Although this is blue in colour and I feel it is aimed towards boys I am sure any girl would love it too especially as it contains scenes from the space episode of peppa pig as this is one of my daughters favourites.
The bag is designed on the space episode of Peppa pig and features George pig in a space uniform while Danny dog is in the rocket blasting off. Although the main bag is dark in colour in navy blue the rest of the details are bright, colourful and eye catching and little one can recognise their favourite characters straight away as they are identical to the characters on the TV program. Unlike other children's backpacks we own this bag only has one main compartment and no front pocket which my son was a little confused about but he did not seem to mind too much.
As my son is only two we had to have the straps adjusted to the lowest setting but they can be made bigger as he grows older which I think is great and with the way it is adjusted just now it I the perfect size for him and the straps sit well on his shoulder. It is not too bulky and sits well on his little back and I believe it would suit children from 2 years to four years although it is recommended for ages three and above as long as it is used with adult supervision do not see it being a problem. To open the bag little one simply has to pull the zip and it unfastens very easy so even younger children can open and close the zip with ease. There is a small space rocket piece on the zip which not only continues the space theme and adds a little something extra to the bag but it also provides an extra grip for opening the zip and this is still intact after 6 months of use.
The bag is large enough for wipes, a spare change of clothes and a drink which is perfect for a potty training toddler or a child of to nursery but I do think this would be too small for a school bag as I doubt it would hold a lot and it is certainly not big enough for books or homework. My son also likes to put his toys in the bag and sometimes overfills it but it has lasted well and all the stitching has remained as strong as it was on the day we received it which for the amount of use it has received I think is great as even if it is just around the house my son always likes to have his bag with him.
What I like about this back pack is because it is dark in colour it hides the dirt a little more than my daughter pink Peppa pig one and as these bags are wipe clean only this makes them last a little longer before they become too scruffy and cannot be used anymore, especially as my son is a typical boy and manages to get everything mucky.
Overall this is a great bag it is high quality and has lasted really well despite my son opening and closing the bag over and over and filling it to the top with his toys and dragging it around the house. It is great to take out with us as my son is potty training and I found if he carries the bag himself with his spare change of clothes makes him feel more independent and like he has more control over the matter. We purchased ours from Amazon but they are available in toy shops and a supermarket costing around £8 which I think is a fair price. There are many variations available including other George pig designs but there are also Peppa pig designs available too.
I brought this rucksack for my little sister when she started playschool last month because they have to take a snack in and because she's still in nappies I thought it would be cute for her to carry her own stuff because she loves playing with bags.
She's 2 and quite tall for her age and the rucksack fits her perfect but if your child is small for their age then I reckon the bag might be a bit bulky for them to carry.
I think it looks great and my sister loved it as soon as I gave it her because even though she's not all that mad on Peppa Pig she likes George and laughs at him more than Peppa for some reason. The bag has got George in a spacesuit and he is standing on the moon watching a rocket in the air. The background is dark blue so it looks like he's in space, my mum thinks it looks too much like a boys bag but that's stupid because my sister loves George and being able to carry her own bag and she's not bothered about the colour.
Even the puller for the zip is a plastic rocket and that also gives my sister something to pull on to help her undo and zip up her bag. The zip starts halfway up one side, runs round the top and then goes halfway down the other side so the bag opens nice and wide for getting stuff in and the space inside the bag is quite big as well. My sisters version of What's In My Bag? is 2 nappies, small pack of wipes, apple, sandwich and a picture book!
She holds it over both shoulders and the straps are wide so it balances the weight but she's never going to be carrying anything that heavy anyway! The straps can be adjusted quite a bit so I reckon the rucksack will last for ages because it's on the smallest setting at the minute and there's loads more room in the straps.
I think this is a wicked rucksack and worth the £10.00 I paid for it off Ebay. I was looking for a rucksack for myself when I found this and couldn't help treating her to it and when it arrived she loved it so much and it looked so cute on her that it was worth it.
An excellent new design in the Peppa Pig collection featuring George in his Spaceman suit and his space rocket. A great gift idea for young children and suitable for toddlers upwards.
