Advantages: Fantastic retro space hoppers, hours of fun to be had with them.
Disadvantages: None I can think of
My space hopper was my favourite toy from childhood so when I saw that I could buy them now for my kids I couldn't resist. I was originally only going to buy one as it was mainly for my son as I thought my daughter would think she was far too cool to go on one but I saw that I could buy a pack of three for £29.99 and I couldn't resist getting them so that both my son, daughter and I could have our own to play with.
The space hoppers arrived and were in three different colours which were blue, orange and pink. They came deflated obviously or otherwise they wouldn't have got in the post but I didn't really think when buying them how I was going to blow them up. Luckily they came with their own foot pump which worked a treat at getting them all blown up.
When the space hoppers are blown up they become really quite firm and although I was a little nervous about sitting on my one the first couple of times in case it burst they are made with a rubber material that is really strong and secure.
Although I had used my space hopper loads as a kid it took me a while to get the hang of it again and bouncing around wasn't quite as simple as I remembered it to be. When I did get the hang of it I was soon bouncing around the garden with the kids having competitions to see who could beat who in a race.
The kids absolutely love them and there hasn't been one single person who has visited the house whether they are 6 or 60 who hasn't wanted to have a go. In face just the other week my sister and I both were bouncing around the garden in them and we didn't even have the excuse that the kids were there as they were at school.
The space hoppers are great fun and they also encourage activity as they take a lot of energy to use so they would be great for kids with a lot of energy.
They are also really easy to keep and you can either deflate them and store them inside or just leave them lying about the garden which is what I do as rain and bad weather do them absolutely no harm.
For the money I paid for them they worked out at around £10 each and I would happily pay this again and in fact think it was a bit of a bargain as they are so good.
The three I bought were supposed to be adult sized so I was a little worried that they might have been too big for my son but when they arrived they weren't too big and he fit on his one with no problems whatsoever.
If you are looking for a fun outdoor toy to keep the kids (and yourself) amused then definitely invest in a space hopper as they are brilliant.
Summary: A great fun toy
