I got my daughter one of these new at a car boot sale and apart from the bubbles bottle was missing from the box which should have been included you could tell it was new. You can pick up big bottles for £1 in many stores.
I paid just £1 for this and to be honest I'm glad I hadn't paid full price in the shops or even more then £1. Having seen some other reviews on the internet for this product others also had the same issue as I have with it.
Fifi is from a childrens television program called Fifi and the flowertots. I don't notice it on much now but used to be on quite a bit.
When you open the box this magic bubble blower comes in five parts, the car, Fifi, and three parts to the handle. Fifi slots into the car seat easily and her hands can be moved so she is gripping the steering wheel. The handle clips onto the base of the bubble mix holder which is like a yellow flowerpot. It has a extendable handle which is easy to alter. At the rear of the car is a lever to push which releases the pot to put the bubble mix into, this is really needed as you can pour them in just as easily without taking this part off.
The car isn't heavy and is nice and colourful. My daughter like to take Fifi out and play with her separately sometimes. Now I remember the first time we used this I actually felt disappointed as it was quite tricky to get good bubbles coming out of it which come from the rear where you put the mix into. You have to move it along quite fast to get bubbles to emerge from it and sometimes the bubbles just seem to mass together on the car rather then fly up in the air. My daughter didn't seem to mind though and was happy with any bubbles that appeared. The rear wheels are what make the bubble maker work.
The main thing that happened very soon after getting this was the handle broke off at the bottom and wasn't mendable so even though it can be pushed about on the floor the idea of walking (running) along with it had gone. No need to worry about taking the handle off for easy storage now.
Suitable for 18months plus.
I've given this 3 stars as the idea and look of this are good but the way the bubbles come out and quality of the handle are not good.
I purchased this toy for my two year old daughter at Christmas whilst she was in her 'Fifi' stage. I got it as part of a 3 for 2 deal on toys at Boots so it worked out that I only actually paid around £12 for the item as opposed to the recommended retail price of £17.99.
On first glance the toy looks great. It features a removable Fifi Flowertot sat on Mo the car and it is bright and colourful to capture your childs attention. You are provided with a tub of bubble solution and your pour some of this into the yellow box placed at the rear of the car. When your child then pushes the toy along bubbles appear out of the rear of the car. My daughter loved this, though with having laminated flooring the toy was becoming a bit more dangerous than fun due to making the floor slippy once the bubbles had landed. I therefore had to limit playtime with this toy over the winter and instead it now recieves regular use outdoors in the gardens on a sunny day.
In order to push the toy along there is a long yellow handed which fits at the rear of the car. This is my major gripe with this toy as the handle does not attach securely enough or 'clip' into place. As a result, it constantly comes out of its holdings and causes the kids to get quite frustrated as they are unable to fit it back themselves and therefore get quite annoyed at having to ask me for help with it every couple of minutes. I personally dont mind as I can see the fun they get out of it once Ive fixed it, but it is definitely something that the manufacturers should look to improve on future productions of the item.
It is great for use outdoors and the bubble solution provided with the item does last a fair while. The parts are easy to remove, which can also causes problems for toddlers wandering hands resulting in parts going missing. Fifi herself was missing for a couple of months until I found her at the bottom of the toy box the other day, however this did not seem to bother my children as the main attraction is the bubbles as opposed to who is driving in the car.
Overall, it is a nice toy. I think the recommended retail price is too excessive for what it is, but if purchased as part of 3 for 2 deal then it does offer good value. The handle at the back definitely needs improving, though it is also possible to push it along the floor without the handle being in place. It is a good toy for Fifi fans, and I would recommend it despite its couple of faults.
Perfect for any FiFi fan. Fill up the back with bubble solution push fifi along and she blows bubbles out of the back of Mo. FiFi is only from the waist up and is removable so is the bubble blower removable which makes it easeier for refilling. Handle is detachable, although it keeps falling off which annoys my daughter and myself as I have to keep putting it back on. It does not produce much bubbles but enough for indoor use as you dont want the carpet soaked! FiFi bobs from side to sound as you push her along. It is very noisy though when you push it. The car itself is colourful and sturdy and I promise any fan of the TV series FiFi and The Flowertots will love it! Your child needs to be stable on their feet as the faintest of touches will shoot it forward. Its also good for outside in the garden in the nicer weather as all kids love bubbles.
The magic bubble mo is part of the merchandising form the Fifi and flower tots TV series.
The toy comes in several parts the handle needs to be built by adult before use. There is mo (the car), Fifi who is only the top half of her but is removable, the bucket on the back which needs to be removed to fill with bubbles and the handle.
It does come with a small bottle of bubble mixture but this doesn't last long
I bought the magic bubble for my sons 1st birthday and intended to save it till he was walking. He now is running around and loves this toy the only real difficulty is the handle easily comes out and he can't put it back on so I am constantly up and down putting the handle on. The back bucket needs to be removed to fill with bubbles but my son also removes it and tries to drink the bubbles. So unless you have a much more sensible child than mine I would wait till they are two years old before giving it to them. My son loves Fifi and has other Fifi toys which he is below the recommended age for but he can play with quite happily. It can be played with both inside and outside the house. Unlike the bubble machine we have it doesn't soak everywhere. I do like this toy and would recommend it for children over two years of age.
I managed to get this toy in a sale for £4.99. For £4.99 it's fantastic for it's RRP £17.99? It ain't worth it. The handle comes of now and again, which is fine for supervised play and older children but it agitates one of my little tots. I think it's a little difficult to push, again think the handle's to blame as if it was a bit more sturdy it would do the job. Comes with some ready-made bubble solution which is great, it's a decent size however as the handle detaches it doesn't take up too much room in storage. All you have to do is push it along and out come the bubbles....my kids go crazy for bubbles so it's always coveted when it first comes out the cupboard but after 10 mins, they'd rather blow their on bubbles. It's a lovely wee toy, it could have been made better and it's not worth full price in my opinion but the kids do like it! Try and get it for a bit cheaper because I would feel cheated if i'd spent much more than £10 on this.
my daughter received this for her 3rd birthday back in July and it often comes out of the cupbard for a push around!
It was easy to fit together and came with some bubble solution so it could be used straight away.
Excellent for any Fifi fan , my daughter recognised Fifi in her little car Mo straight away as she watches it every morning on five!
The handle makes it easy for your toddler to push about and they will find that the bubbles that fly out around them delightful! Although it states for indoor or outdoor use I am still in two minds! Would you really want a push along bubble solution filled car running/spilling over your carpets and its not always a great idea on wooden floors really either as it could be slippery. On the down side the bubble solution doesnt last very long and you need somewhere to store it upright as obviously it cant be chucked into the toy box at the end of the day. Id say that this toy only really gets a look in because of the popular character but would be better suited advertised as a garden toy.
Magic Bubble MoPush Fifi & Mo along the floor and see bubbles magically appear! With extendable handle that detaches for easy storage. For indoor or outdoor use. Bubbles included.
