Waboba Water Ball
Advantages: Bounces well
Disadvantages: Bounces too well
During our many family holidays in the sunny continent, we spent most of our mornings in the pool and I love nothing better than playing with the kids in the swimming pool. I am in the pool actually more than then and thus we have bought a large number of "pool toys" in previous holidays in order to have a bit extra fun. Im just a big kid really!
One of the items we usually buy is a ball for the pool. A ball which we usually leave behind in the room. We noticed on our holiday at the end of last year a snazzy looking ball being played with by many families and after browsing online I found this to be the Waboba Water Ball which we bought online and took on our holiday a few weeks ago. At only £3.99 online it was well worth it!
As mentioned this Waboba Water Ball is designed to be used in the pool. The material it is made from and way it is put together means that it doesn't really work outside the pool as it bounces way too much and is rather hard to control.
Nevertheless, in the pool this is a gem. It is more than merely a standard ball as the Waboba Water Ball has a special "bouncing quality" as it says on the advertisements, it skims and bounces on water going high and far. Especially when we used this in the sea if bounced on a wave it shoots so high into the air its baffling.
Its made of a durable material and stays inflated for a considerable time so you can play, bash and bounce this as much as you like but its going to provide hours and hours of fun and frolics due to being a superbly made product.
You can use this as a normal ball and have fun with is unpredictable and erratic nature but the one downside is if you try and get this to skim it takes some effort and younger children may be annoyed that they cannot do it. Adults should get a grip on it but Kids certainly will take time if they manage to get the knack at all.
Also due to the bounce and skim qualities it can be hard to control and may just skim off by accident which can be unsociable in busy pools etc so we tended to restrict our playtime to early morning times when the pool was not as busy.
All in all therefore, this Waboba Water Ball will give hours of fun but for younger kids and crowded areas you may want something with less bounce.
Summary: A tricky little ball
