Advantages: Makes typing up notes so much easier

Disadvantages: None for me

With both Mark and myself doing home courses at the moment we spend a lot of time on the computer. Just before Christmas I was writing up my assignment and realised that trying to balance my notes against a vase just wasn't practical! I needed something that was designed for the job. A quick look Amazon came up with a practical solution that didn't cost a fortune. The Fellows Copystand was just what I was looking for. Fellowes do lots of office equipment so I felt certain it would be ok.

The Copystand is made from strong plastic and feels quite sturdy. Mine is a grey colour, dove grey to be precise and is suitable for A4 paper. There's a clip at the top to hold the paper securely in place. Fellowes state the copystand can hold up to 75 sheets of paper but personally I have never used this many. The copystand is adjustable and can be used at 6 different angles by use of a small easel type stand on the back. This is very handy as you can adjust it to suit you wherever you are. I like this feature as it means the copystand will also fold flat making it easy to store away in a drawer or if you are at college in your bag.

We have used this little gadget so many times since we bought it. It makes typing from notes or a book so much easier. It eliminates all the looking down and away from my screen. I get it at the correct angle and I have found I get my typing done so much faster. I love the fact that it fold flat too. It takes up hardly any room in a drawer or I sometimes pop it in my laptop case.

I would say the copystand would be good for children too when it comes to doing homework, I know my nephew loves to use this when he stays. He loves to draw and often copies pictures which he clips to the stand while he's drawing. The copystand can also be used as a clipboard too although I haven't personally had the need for a clipboard I can see how it would be ideal as the clip which holds the paper is strong and has a firm grip.

I bought my Fellowes Copystand from www.amazon.co.uk where it cost me just £7.00, currently they are on there starting from £7.89. They are available from lots of online and office shops where prices do vary so shopping around is worth doing.

I would definitely recommend the Fellowes Copystand, its a simple idea but has made writing up assignments so much easier and I've noticed I don't get quite such a painful neck as this eliminates the need to keep turning my head when copying. Its adjustable so you can find an angle to suit you, and when its not in use it stores neatly away in a drawer or bag.

Summary: A handy little gadget that wont break the bank
