Advantages: Very good design and efficient
Disadvantages: Installation instuctions wrong
Like this oven a lot, reliability is not easy to judge as that will take years to know . However I liked the endless design features that may be small but together make this a great oven. Some of the major ones are:
Catalytic coating, rather than plates a lot of weight and internal oven space is saved.
Warm up time, so fast, 5-6mins we don't bother.
Minimal controls, it has enough to make it versatile. The other models charge for features that you can do manually.
Triple glazed door, never gets very hot.
Does not vent to the kitchen. The fan air that you feel is keeping the electronics and controls cool.
3kW consumption.
Disadvantages. As it does not vent, when opening the oven stand back, the hot steam will get you in the face.
The installations instructions for the electrics are for a higher consumption model, their customers services took ages to agree that it can be wired as a standard 3kW appliance. I used high temperature 1.5mm three core as belt and braces, because the cable is captive at the back of the appliance housing.
Summary: As long as it proves reliable, I will be very happy.

- 12/08/07 Its a pity you never shared your experience of using the actual oven and the controls info. Its one of the more basic info people are looking for before buying including the price. As for the catalytic sides, I prefer removable ones for easier cleaning. Otherwise you end up literally sticking your head in the oven! |
