Advantages: Nice design, double cavity, large multi-zone oven and seperate grill
Disadvantages: The oven demands more time than our previous cooker
Here it is, another domestic appliance review. None of you care, neither do I, so I'll get on with it then: Our last cooker, a gas one by some obscure brand called Fagor was still functional, but it was getting very old and battered looking; although part of that can be attributed to my Dad's attempts at so-called cooking. So in a fit for newness, and an obsession with all things in the kitchen to be thematically linked to the colour blue somehow, my mum invested in this cooker (blue, but available in green and white too). It's on the cheaper end of good brand gas cookers. Now, I'm no cooking expert (as many people will gladly attest), but my mum likes it. To start with the gripes it just appears that the oven, for now anyway, takes longer to do it's job than the last one, but other than that it supercedes our old one in terms of look and features. It looks simple, and there's something kind of early 80's about it; I can't put my finger on it though. The cooker has a built-in igniter, so there's common sense elimination of matches and hand igniters easy turning knobs, 4 gas burners (twin-sized hot plate burners), which is nice.., a slow cook economy 'E' setting. Which isn't associated with drugs fortunately/unfortunately, clean oven liners (as opposed to dirty?..) and it's dimensions are pretty much that of your average cooker, although this looks a little slimmer. The headline feature of this cooker is that it has a double cavity with a large multi-zone oven and seperate grill. These are housed below the gas burners as you'd expect. Installing it's simple...Particularly as for an additional fee we had it installed and the old one removed. An instruction booklet comes with the cooker aswell for all your cooker looky-uppy needs, including care and maintenance and cooking guidelines. And um, yeah, that's it. Not a crown-worthy opinion, but not many
seem to be nowadays anyway (must refrain from dooyoo politics!), and there's only so much you can say about a cooker, when all you can really say is that it's nice and cooks, and spread it out with useless words inbetween. Speaking of which, I'm going off subject. End.

- 16/08/02 Risque stories about a cooker! Will give it some thought. It's as much as I need to know about a cooker.
