Was given this cooker by a family member, found it very easy to install and get going, the manual is very easy to follow. The black glass top with the rings under it makes the hob top look cool and it very easy to keep clean. A special hob cleaner is recommended. The rings heat up and cool down very quickly giving good control. There is a speed cook ring for fast heating and one of the rear rings can be turned on fully or the inter part can be turned on effectively making it a small ring if needed I love the grill design, there are three self rails and the self is offset, this gives six grilling levels. I bought one of these to replace a much older cooker unit recently, and what attracted me initially was the ceramic hobs. For those who may not be familiar, these types of oven have a completely flat top which looks like black glass, and the heating elements are underneath the glass. Obviously this makes keeping the hobs clean much easier - and they look quite nifty too. One thing to beware is the temptation to use the flat surface to put things on - don't do it! Hotpoint have always been a good make for ovens, and this model is no exception or let-down.
