We purchased this cooker in green second hand when we moved into our new house. I think we paid about £70 for it after seeing it advertised on eBay. No particular reason for choosing this particular cooker, aside from it was the right size and we couldn't afford a brand new one at the time. My parents have always had rangemasters (albeit the giant feed a dozen type ones!) and found them to be reliable. So into the kitchen it came, the plumber connected the gas up for us and off we went! To look at it's a smart looking little cooker. The cooker itself has an eye level grill (has lessened the burning of things slightly!), two large burners and two smaller, an oven with two shelves and a basket that hangs on the inside of the door, I've never really known what this was for but I use it to heat plates up.. It is removable. The dials for the burners, grill, oven are on the front and very easy to use. No fancy electronics here! There is then a storage drawer at the bottom. When we purchased our cooker it came with two griddles, a flat one and a grooved on and these live in the drawer. The front of the cooker has a bar that runs the length of it, used to open the main oven and in our house to hang tea towels on! So is it any good? For us, yes. My children are still small and my other half is away Monday - Friday so it doesn't get alot of heavy use. When I do use it it has always been absolutely fine. The burners all catch quickly, the oven heats up nice and quickly as does the grill. To be honest I don't think it would be any good for anyone cooking for alot of people on a regular basis. I have an absolute nightmare trying to fit everything in when we have people round for dinner. There is a timer function on the cooker but I've never used it so can't comment! Given it's age, I think it was about 6 years old when we got it, it has never failed us so far, so yes it is reliable. It is also easy to clean as everything comes off/apart easily. I would certainly buy a rangemaster again but probably one with a bit more capacity.
