a good cooker in experienced hands (Whirlpool ACM328 Gas Cooker)

Advantages: very efficient Gas cooker

Disadvantages: doesnt self light .

We have nicknamed my new whirlpool ACM cooker
*Chernobyl* because of its potential for blowing up in inexperienced hands :)
THIS IS A JOKE ,BUT CARE IS NEEDED.

As a gas stove it has some very good points though.
The parts for this stove were manufactured
in Czechoslovakia and are very well made,including the burners .


The design of this stove is also good,but needs to be used by by experiened cooks only.
For instance :the oven which the gas installer couldnt light through the portal suggested,has to have the removable bottom of the oven lifted gently up ,and the large burner lit with a long match while switch is held in place ,*safety feature*,then lowered down,I hold the bottom *lid over oven burner ,with the grill pan handle sideways on ,and then ease back in place with a knife in one of the holes so it doesnt slam down on gas burner in bottom of oveN

There is a warning however:this is in
the instruction booklet to allow
10 secs for oven to light and restart if it doesnt ,and the safety feature as already stated that gas will go out if switch isnt
held in ,and ignition hasnt been acomplished.

It is an unusual design and should not be handled by a child ,or very elderly person.
The grill is in the top of the oven,and is quite large so avoid havig a lot of fat near it.you would have to careful with this too
Both burners are not at the back but central.*There is a grill pan to go under grill when in use*.

I now boil the cats chicken in a wok on top
of stove I find this better.

A good feature on the top of the stove is
one very rapid boiler watch your pans girls
Then two normal and one slow burner.
Despite the unusual features I am very pleased with this cheaply priced Gas cooker.

e fast burner*:
if you are in a hurry to boil something
and have it high my advice is dont leave it.
I have managed to burn 3 pans because I misjudged how long it had been cooking .
It does turn down nicely ,but I wouldnt leave that burner unwatched you know what us computer users are like.
Also I think the other 3 burners are more suitable for frying ,but for the busy person its
very good because you can heat things up
more quickly,then put on another burner to finish cooking.HAPPY COOKING!
