Advantages: cooks food when it works

Disadvantages: element fails pretty much every year.

we recieved our cooker as it was built into our newly built home 3years ago now. It is a very nice looking cooker very modern so i cannot complain at all about its appearance.

The only problem we seem to be having as well as some neighbours and relatives living in the same area with the same cooker is every year the element seems to go with out fail. Our element has just gone again and so has one of our relatives which just goes to show that they seem to fail or should i say last for about a year before they go again.

The elements are not cheap either they cost £80 so thats turning out to be £80 every year we will be paying for a new element now, which means we are considering buying a new cooker because in the long run its going to be cheaper to do that rather than keep buying elements that last only about a year.

Going on the other review on here it seems these make ovens all suffer from exactly the same fault so i would steer clear of these, unless its free and the first time the element fails get rid of it and then get a new oven altogether .

Bit of an update: we were looking around for the oven element because to keep paying £70-£80 every time is a bit extortionate so we found one for £25 but we are yet to see if this element fits so will update when i find out.

The only other thing i would say i dont or didnt like about this cooker when first getting the hang of it was the ignitor its a pretty big button but sometimes it moves slightly so your not pressing in the right place which was a bit worrying, but then thats probably a bit down to the operator considering it hasnt done that for ages.

Cleaning the hob of the cooker is a bit of a task to keep nice and shiney it goes kind of patchy (its stainless steel) even when simply using water and washing liquid, so to keep it looking good i use a bit of wd40 wiped around with a bit of kitchen roll, works a treat and looks new every time! Also helps with food not sticking so much so easier to clean next time round.

The inside of the oven is pretty easy to clean all you really need is a bit of oven cleaner in the inside then scrub around then the rest is just taking out the rackings and letting it soak then giving them a scrub with a scourer, so its really quite easy to keep the cooker clean.

Summary: good when works, once element fails get a new oven and dont waste your money!

Welcome to Dooyoo. A good compact review here although it could do with more info such as cleaning it and design of the controls.

We've had a Bosch oven for the best part of 15 years and the element is still the original part. If there's anything that needing replaced then its the front panel as the glass has a large crack down the front. Hoping it will last another couple of years.

If you update your review please msg me.
