Oh how I love this cooker. Mostly because it has a ceramic hob and it cleans really easily.
I hate cleaning cookers and hobs, and generally I forget to. Not with this cooker though. Spillages need to be wiped up before use, or they'll get burnt on and will be really difficult to remove. So I have got into the habit of cleaning it before each use. And before you groan, let me tell you, just a squirt of Hob Brite, or whatever cleaner you like, wipe it down and rinse. And if you want a nice streak free finish, dry it. That's it.
Now compare that to a gas hob where you can use it with spillages, which obviously get burnt on. It's a nightmare getting the gas ring things off and cleaning them.
Hob apart... I love being able to set the oven to come on and cook for a certain time.
The fan oven cooks my cakes nicely, and also does a great roast.
It also has a self-cleaning facility. (I hate cleaning!)
My only gripe is not being able to work out how to change the time when the clocks change.
We bought this cooker 2 years ago from a local appliance dealer and were very pleased with it. We have an all electric house and previously had an LPG gas cooker, which was fine but i started to get paranoid about having huge gas canisters in the garden!
There are your standard 4 halogen hobs, top oven, main oven and grill. Varied settings include defrost and slow cook settings, which we've never had on a cooker before. The main oven is fan assisted and not too noisy. The hob setting are 1-6.
I do think that the hobs take a while to heat up or get water boiling but I don't think this is specific to this cooker but all electric halogen hobs.
Its extremely easy to clean and the hob plate cleans up beautifully when cleaned with HobBrite, which you get a small sample of when you buy the cooker.
Its 60cm wide which is a perfect fit for most cooker spaces between kitchen units.
A wonderful wee cooker which looks good in most kitchens.
